JAN. 23 - ”French President Nicolas Sarkozy assessed that Israel ‘would not stand by while Iran develops nuclear weapons,’” reports the Jerusalem Post, citing an Al Hayat dispatch quoting sources close to the French leader on Saturday.

JAN. 11 – The Associated Press is reporting that the United States and five other countries are likely to meet this week to discuss what to do about Iran’s nuclear program.

JAN. 4 – Israel Radio is reporting this morning that France has rejected Iran’s ultimatum to the West that it has to accept Iran’s counterproposal to a United Nations’ brokered deal aimed at slowing the Iranian nuclear program.
